Across the water,
not across town.

Kihim sits on the Alibaug coast, one bay south of Mumbai. You leave the Gateway by boat and step off twenty nautical minutes later onto a shore road that has kept its casuarinas.

04.3 The village

Kihim keeps quiet hours.

Kihim has kept its casuarina shore, its birdsong, and its unhurried mornings while the rest of the coast filled in. The beach empties by evening; the village sleeps early. This is why the study sits here and not two bays north.

Alibaug’s markets, clubs and jetties are twenty minutes south when you want them. Most days, you won’t.

Come by water.

We hold the 16:40 boat for walkthrough days. You step off at Mandwa, and the car does the rest.
